Red Rickshaw Revolution reaches Bhadrak - Odisha
On 12th December, 2014 Red Rickshaw Revolution reaches "Jalang" a remote village in Bhadrak, Odisha. The newly set up digital Community Information Resource Centre ( dCIRC) was inaugurated by Mr Haji Abdul Bari, Social Worker, National Communal Harmony Peace Awardee. Ms Harapriya Das, lady Sarpanch received a warm welcome from Ms Ritika Aggarwal, Vodafone Foundation and Ms Chitra Chauhan, Senior Manager DEF.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ms Chandrakanti Mallick, Chairperson, Bhadrak Panchayat Samiti, Mr S.A Safique, Gandhian Activist, Mr Ajay Kumar Panigrahi, Branch Manager; UCO Bank, Jalanga Branch, Mr Padman Kumar Roy, District Small Savings Officer, Mr Yogesh Ghadei, Zila Parishad Member, Bhadrak, Mr Batakrishna Dash, Public Prosecutor Bhadrak Court and Ms Charulata Mohapatra, Educationist. There were approximately 360 participants in the event.
In addition, there was a small cultural show organized at the event. Ms Harapriya Das was facilitated by Ms Ritika Aggarwal for her exceptional work in the development of village. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the cultural program as well as the dance performances "Tribal Santhal Dance".
At the end of the event there were contests organized which provided participants opportunities to win gift surprises.
