After having travelled to 6 states and inaugurated 9 dCIRCs (digital Community Information Resource Centres), the Red Rickshaw Revolution finally entered West Bengal on 15 December 2014. There have been already nine dCIRCs inaugurated so far.
They were in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, and Odisha. Being the last of the inaugurations, this centre in a quiet remote village in South 24 Paragana witnessed a lot of activity on this day.
On 12th December, 2014 Red Rickshaw Revolution reaches “Jalang” a remote village in Bhadrak, Odisha. The newly set up digital Community Information Resource Centre ( dCIRC) was inaugurated by Mr Haji Abdul Bari, Social Worker, National Communal Harmony Peace Awardee.
Ms Harapriya Das, lady Sarpanch received a warm welcome from Ms Ritika Aggarwal, Vodafone Foundation and Ms Chitra Chauhan, Senior Manager DEF.
