10 December 2014: Keonjhar, Odisha

Another digital Community Information Resource Centre (dCIRC) was inaugurated by the Vodafone Foundation and Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) on 10 December 2014. This time, it was in Keonjhar, Odisha. So far, there have been seven successful inaugurations in the past ten days. The previous ones were inaugurated in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Guest, Ms. Sarilata Prushty, Zila Parishad President, inaugurated the dCIRC. The dCIRC coordinator, trainer, representatives of Vodafone Foundation and Digital Empowerment Foundation, and volunteers greeted Ms. Prushty with a warm and traditional welcome.

8 December, 2014: Shivpuri – 03:00 PM, Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh witnessed two inaugurations of digital Community Information Research Centres (dCIRCs) on a single day. The first one was at main Shivpuri and the next was at Pohri in Shivpuri. Before this, five centres were inaugurated in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Chhatisgarh.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Jitendra Jain, Shivpuri Zila Parishad President, who inaugurated the first centre at Shivpuri was gracious enough to be the Chief Guest even for the Pohri dCIRC. The centre coordinator, trainer, and the volunteers greeted Mr. Jain with a warm welcome.
